Dear Friend,
I hope this open letter finds you in great health. I know it's been a moment but I just want you to know that I see you and I'm still rooting for you. When I found out today was national letter writing day, I knew I had to come out of hiding. I knew there wasn't any other person I needed to write for than you. No better person to put pen to pad, or should I say fingers to keys for, than you.
2021 has been so full. Full of love, laughter, change, and even a little sorrow. You have learned so much and even conquered more than you sought out to do. Not to mention, I've seen you standing your ground. You never did that before. You were always a hard pill for people to swallow and instead of allowing them to choke, you shrunk yourself.
I don't know why you were so afraid to stand on you and what you wanted, but honey let me tell you, I'm so glad you stopped shrinking. So glad you stopped trying to tape your leaves on, in the fall. You were missing the beauty that is often found in the changing of seasons, trying be someone you weren't.
Somewhere in the mix of it all, I could tell you found you. The true you, the person I've always known you to be. You have always been confident, loving, and full of light. I'm so glad you found that again. And yes, better late than never, as I always say.
So today, is for you. Know that I'm thinking of you, always encouraging you, always coming behind you 100%. Never dim your light for the next person.
The world is yours and you know it Don't ever be afraid of the "what if"... I'm here to tell you it will always work in your favor. Always expect the best, and know you'll get through whatever may come.
You're a beautiful soul. Don't you ever forget it.
Until next time.
With Love
HH
